The 4-day 3GPP Mobile System Overview course describes all the currently used “generations” of mobile (cellular) networks standardized by 3GPP.

3GPP Mobile Systems Overview (4 days) 

The course provides a technical description of layer 3 protocols and signalling procedures defined for the 5G radio access ('New Radio, NR') and radio access network ('NG-RAN') as defined by 3GPP standards. A chapter on NR layer 2 protocols is also included to complete the picture.

5G NG-RAN in Half a Day

This course offers a high-level overview of 6G pre-standardization efforts, focusing on innovations in 5G Advanced and early 3GPP Release 20 studies. Topics include AI-native networks, integrated sensing, spectrum evolution, and the societal drivers shaping 6G design.

6G Prestudies

This course provides a solid technical understanding of the 5G System as defined and standardized by 3GPP. The course accounts for the various aspects of the 5G System (Radio Access Network, 5G Core), nodes / functions, interfaces / reference points, basic procedures and main architectural ideas. 

5G System Overview

This course provides a thorough overview of the Next-Generation Radio Access Network (NG-RAN) which is part of the 3GPP 5G System. The focus is on Standalone (SA) operation with NG-RAN connected to the 5G Core Network.
